Hyaluronic acid rejuvenation of the intimate area is a modern, minimally invasive aesthetic procedure designed to improve the appearance and comfort of the intimate area. This procedure, also known as labial augmentation, is carried out using hyaluronic acid – a substance naturally found in the body that helps to restore tissue volume, moisture and elasticity.
Who is this procedure suitable for?
- You have noticed sagging or a loss of volume in the tissues of the intimate area;
- You experience dryness or discomfort;
- You wish to improve the aesthetic appearance;
- The tissue structure has changed following childbirth or with age;
- You are seeking greater comfort in your daily activities or intimate life;
- You do not have any active infections in the intimate area;
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding;
- You are not allergic to hyaluronic acid or any other components of the preparation.
Detailed information about the procedure
How should you prepare for the procedure?
Your doctor will provide specific instructions on how best to prepare. It is recommended that you avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs or anticoagulants for a few days before the procedure, as these may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
What happens during the procedure?
During the procedure, a local anaesthetic (cream or injection) is applied to ensure maximum comfort and that you feel no pain. Anaesthetic creams often contain benzocaine, lidocaine and tetracaine (BLT). The doctor will then use a fine needle to inject the appropriate amount of hyaluronic acid into the carefully marked areas. You may feel slight discomfort and a sensation of pressure during the procedure. On average, the doctor injects 1 ml of hyaluronic acid filler, which is approximately one-fifth of a teaspoon. The entire procedure takes about 30 minutes. At “OST KLINIKA”, only the highest-quality, safe and reliable medical products are used for hyaluronic acid injections.
What happens after the procedure?
After the procedure, the doctor may monitor you for up to 15 minutes to ensure you do not experience any side effects, including dizziness, nausea or an allergic reaction. The local anaesthetic will not make you feel tired or drowsy, so you will be able to drive yourself home. The injection site may be slightly swollen and tender. The swelling usually subsides after 24–48 hours, but it may take up to a week. The doctor will also arrange a follow-up consultation approximately two weeks after the procedure to assess the final results.
Tips for faster healing:
- Maintain good intimate hygiene;
- Avoid saunas, swimming pools and hot baths for 2–3 days;
- Avoid physical exertion for at least 24 hours;
